2010 Fantasy Football Draft!

Alright folks,

We don't need to draft this weekend, but should start discussing the parameters of the season in more detail.

One of the guys I work with has been in the same keeper league for the past 7 years. I've been talking with him about the rules his team plays and one of the things he brought up was there positions.

His league tries to stay as true to what can actually be on the field at one time. Therefore they play:

QB
RB
RB
WR/TE
WR
WR
TE
K
Defense

and then the bench.

Considering Miami is the only team that will ever have 3 RBs on the field at once, I thought it would be worth discussing.

Moreover, It is a mandatory rule in his league to Draft each position. You are not required to draft backups for each, but you must draft a starting roster regardless.

Just some ideas from another league. Thoughts?

Touche... thought you were calling first in the draft, which would work cos we know you'd take butterfingers AP.

Draft should be on a sunday afternoon at least halfway through preseason, so you know you're not taking CJ and he busts his acl in the first regular season game.

I'm thinking August 29th. During syllabus week for some, and not on a work day for others. In addition, it gives those needing to take work off a solid amount of time.

I propose Sunday, August 29th at 4:00 pm Central as draft day...At the conclusion of preseason and 2 weeks before the regular season.

At this moment in time, the draft date is Sunday, August 29th. If you have conflicts speak up.
