Level just reported on Tech Talk that Oklahoma State will potentially back Texas Tech in this situation -- the Cowboys were unaware of the penalty money play when they issued their statement affirming their commitment to the Big 12 Lite.

Level is reporting that Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder will hold a press conference today at 2 p.m.

As part of its proposed deal, FSN has asked to take control of the conference's third-tier rights that are currently controlled by rights holders IMG, ISP and Learfield, sources said. These rights include radio, local media, third-tier TV rights, corporate sponsorships, and in-stadium and arena signage.

So this is rolled into the 17 million we are supposedly getting from the Big XII. While Bevo TV gets up and running, we lose our contract with Learfield- worth 31.7 million over 7 years. That's 4.5 million a year.

So basically, this new Big XII deal is worth 12.5 million- at most- for us.

No way. No way. No way! guys tech might be ready to do something crazy!

Really glad to see Tech refuses to roll over on this deal.

MWC was be less than desireable, yes. As for the Big 12 deadline, I don't think that will be to big of a deal- It would seem they are working on the double as it is.

The Big 12 is a tremendous fit for Texas Tech both academically and athletically. Remaining in the Big 12 will allow us to play our traditional rivals and maintain those competitive associations we have developed with the Big 12 North members.
